Nokia 6301 gains WLAN support & UMA: Releases 4th quarter 2007

Ok stop, read and decide if the Nokia 6301 is much better than the predecessor Nokia 6300. This brand new mobile phone from Nokia is to feature UMA and is basically a revamped version of the 6300, to look at the new Nokia 6301 you will clearly see that the design is the same but unlike the Nokia 6300 being 11.7 mm the Nokia 6301 is larger at 13.1 mm oh and it gains more weight as well, in fact 2 grams to be precise which knocks it up to 93 grams.

The features seems to have gotten a boost thou (just a little), The Nokia 6301 has WLAN support, it gets more built in user memory taking it to 30MB plus microSD memory card support of up to 2GB, when you buy this mobile handset you will also get shipped with it a 128MB memory card. The Nokia 6301 will still have EDGE, tri-band GPRS enabled.

Shipping is expected to begin to selected markets in Europe in the forth quarter of 2007. The estimated retail price is EUR 230 before taxes or subsides.
