Are Mobiles Taking Over Digital Cameras

Under: News Date: November 20th, 2007

It is said that the sales of digital cameras is going to fall this year as more people are using their mobiles to take superb quality pictures, the Nokia N95 has proved that mobile technology is rapidly catching with cameras, as it has already over taken over canon.

Samsung are also launching a mobile with even more sophisticated camera technology such as automatic focus and full zoom.

In my opinion I really think that mobile technology is advancing at a rapid rate and will soon leave cameras in the dust!

Agreed. At present the newer 5 MP camera phones are certainly up to the task of being fine for most people for everyday use. Phones are also beginning to feature technology you’d only previously find on regular cameras. The Viewty for example has an iso 800 setting for low light.
