It’s been quite some time since there was a good web business rumour, so the news that Google is in negotiations to buy Skype from eBay will be pretty well received. According to reports, Google’s plan to buy the company fits in with their plans to disrupt the mobile industry with Android.

EBay were recently forced to admit that they had paid too much for Skype, but it’s not yet known how much Google are willing to pay for it. If this rumour turns into reality, the addition of Skype will do wonders for Android. Yet another Google service!
