Samsung RFID reader chips

Giants Samsung are always there to develop something awesome and their latest creation is the RFID reader chips. Oh yes Samsung has developed a cool single chip radio frequency identification (RFID) reader for mobile devices which is good and we will explain.

The newly developed embedded RFID reader chips can and will provide you the consumer with a product or service information that can be retrieved from RFID tags in items such as museums, tourist exhibits, clothing and movie posters.

The chip itself is only 6.5mm x 6.5mm and a very low power consumption level which is fantastic for mobile applications, Dr. Chilhee Chung the senior vice president of Samsung Electronics System LSI division said “RFID chip reader systems allow consumers to pull context-specific information into their mobile devices while on the go,”.

The latest news is that the global demand for mobile RFID is expected to grow to an astonishing $701 billion by 2010 which is a lot more than the $26.9 billion in 2007.
