GPS module for iPhone being developed by TomTom

Ok so the image is somewhat grainy but it gives you an idea of what the TomTom constructed GPS module situated at the bottom of an iPhone with GPS navigation prompts on the display might look like. The iPhone SDK is widely rumoured to already be in use by a few select developers, and is scheduled for a February 2008 release, and it is possible that TomTom will bring GPS to the iPhone by an official made-for-iPhone accessory.

Many of these type of rumours come and vanish without hitting the streets but there shouldn’t be any reason why Apple shouldn’t wish to offer their customers GPS navigation on their iPhone, and TomTom would be an obvious choice for the project.
