Ok so maybe it’s not the season of good will to all men or women as its being heard on the grapevine that Palm are actually lying off employees in the run up to Christmas. PalmInfoCentre claims that “reliable source” is saying that Palm is lying off employees across the world.
However, at this time these rumours are unconfirmed, but should it be true then Palm will probably be announcing the layoffs later this week. Palm isn’t doing that great this quarter or even last quarter, so it doesn’t come as a real surprise that Palm is getting tough in the employment stakes. But it does seem a great shame Palm has to do this to their employees right on top of the Christmas season. So I guess those employees will have a not so merry Christmas or New Year thanks to Palm.
