Yep that’s right; according to Chinese language Economic Daily News HTC is to make the XPERIA X1 for Sony Ericsson, and well if the Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer does make them well they do have a wealth of experience in Windows Mobile devices as they have manufactured for Palm in the past.

However, I’m quite sure this will remain a speculated rumour until either Sony Ericsson or HTC are ready to make that announcement, so we can only wait and see, and well it’s not really who makes the handset it’s just as long as it works well.
