The earlier release of native Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile versions, Google has now followed with the release of the ever popular Google Maps as a native on Symbian UIQ based smartphones. This new app is somewhat faster than a Java midlet, and features the same My Location function as the S60 and Windows Mobile versions while basically all else remains as is.
So all you Sony Ericsson and Motorola Z8 handset owners out there point your Opera mobile towards google.com for the update, although we are not too sure if the non-touch-screen versions are UIW supported.
