ActiveSync support for Exchange on Apple iPhone

Is it really important? That Microsoft and Apple to offer built-in support for Exchange on the iPhone, and the increasing popularity of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 among mobile professionals. Well we have to say yes.

The Enterprise to Apple means Microsoft Exchange and ActiveSync support and we can all expect some pretty decent features, some of the features include Global Address List, Contacts, Push mail, remote wipe, Cisco IPsec VPN and even authentication via certificate.

There is also the Salesforce.com’s Sales Force Automation CRM Application (SFA), oh and just so you know they have also chucked in support for maps.

We should be able to get all this soon as the next iPhone firmware update rolls out, so when is that exactly then?
