Emirates Airbus A340 flight allows first in-flight cell phone

It’s a year late, however the time has now arrived where we will be seeing more people making calls while on a flight. The first in-flight call on a cell phone was made while on an Emirates Airbus A340 flight from Dubai to Casablanca.

Once the aircraft reached its cruising altitude, the passenger was then allowed to make a call on his phone as well as sending a text message. On future flights passengers will be asked to put their phones on silent, so that they do not disturb other passengers.
