There has been more revealed about the Mobile TV service which will be launching in May. We have learned that one of the two channels will be called PIX, which is a feature film channel from Sony which will be the first of its kind available in the US.

It will feature films such as ‘Philadelphia’, ‘Karate Kid’ and ‘Ghostbusters’. The downside to the service is that you will not be able to fast forward pause or rewind the film, whilst watching it on the tiny mobile screen.

“We recognize that people are on the go with their mobile phone and coming and going. This isn’t for people looking to view a movie for the first time. It’s OK to miss the beginning.” Eric Berger from VP Mobile Entertainment stated.

The films will be running on PIX for a month and new additions will be added to the service weekly.
