Dan Hesse, CEO of Sprint has announced while at CTIA that Sprint will eventually bring the BlackBerry smartphone to Nextel customer’s on the iDEN network service.

This new BlackBerry handset will include WiFi for speedier data when using hotspots. According to Hesse, the new iDEN BlackBerry smartphone should be available later this year. Although a firm date is unclear, but it should be before or on the holyday shopping season.
