Firefox plus Opera on the iPhone is music to our ears: Will Apple allow this?

The Apple iPhone is one of the most talked about mobile devices around and you have to admit this handset is not lacking anymore on the third-party developer support front and with the all new Apple AppStore hitting us all soon we are seeing so many iPhone applications it is unreal, so it looks like it is getting ready for fun, happy days, easier and much more informed iPhone than ever before for the users, the only downside is yes all these apps are fantastic but no one ever considers the browser side of things do they, well they have now my friends.

All iPhone users want more in the way of how we play with the web-access, you know getting away from Safari Browser and giving us something much more well worth playing with such as Firefox. This will surely open up so many possibilities of seeing 3rd party plug-ins that will indeed allow say Flash to work on the iPhone. Well iPhone Atlas always comes up with something interesting like this for example ““No interpreted code may be downloaded and used in an Application except for code that is interpreted and run by Apple’s Published APIs and built-in interpreter(s) […] An Application may not itself install or launch other executable code by any means, including without limitation through the use of a plug-in architecture, calling other frameworks, other APIs or otherwise.”

Yes it would be great to see Firefox and Opera on the iPhone and if say Apple do not allow for third-party apps to hot up plug-ins or indeed any non working web kit HTML/Javascript renderers, this will surely make web-browsers like Mozilla’s Firefox becoming dead in the water so to speak. If Apple does agree then seeing Firefox coming to the iPhone will be the best thing since slice bread. Will Apple see Firefox being competition for Safari? Check out the video below.
