Samsung BlackJack III the mobile formally known as the i788

Under: Mobile Phones, News, Samsung
Date: July 14th, 2008

Word is Mobility site has some interesting snippets of news on the Samsung i788 mobile phone, that’s nothing too interesting as we have already been expecting the Samsung i788 to hit AT&T for some time now.

What the most interesting news snippet is though is the seemingly conformation that the Samsung i788 is in fact to be known as the BlackJack III, well apparently that is what SK Telecom has been calling it.

The Samsung BlackJack III or SCH-M480 is to launch toting Windows Mobile 6 Professional and is so they say the first Samsung BlackJack to sport a touch-screen. This touch-screen will be 2.6 inches 320 x 320 along with a BlackBerry style keypad and finger mouse.

Furthermore, the Samsung BlackJack III is to feature a 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth support, WiFi 802.11 b/g connectivity, mp3/mpeg4/wmv file support and finished off with the usual microSD card slot.

The expected availability on the Samsung BlackJack III via SK Telecom is roughly around the back end of July, although no word on pricing yet.
