Yesterday Palm announced that Palm Centro owners on Sprint will be able to add a few new shortcuts to their mobile handset thanks to the release of a new update, with includes compatibility with Google’s My Location.
A report on InformationWeek states this Palm Centro update is expected to improve IMAP compatibility with Gmail and provides a setup wizard for the web-based email. Palm has also improved email delivery sent to VersaMail using Microsoft’s Direct Push tech.
According to Palm, the new update software improves email attachment, Sprint TV performance, Bluetooth usability, and enhances AOL instant messaging service. The update will also change the default camera shutter sound to “on” so an audible sound is emitted when in use.
This new update can be downloaded from the Palm Centro Support website where all you need to do is follow the online instructions.
