Has new iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update fixed bugs?

Just so everyone knows you can now visit iTunes where you can download the latest iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update.

Many Apple iPhone users have been pretty annoyed after getting the last update because featured many bugs, we will let you know what this new firmware update is like a little later in the day.

Many of you would have noticed whilst visiting iTunes that there was this new update for your iPhone but we have heard tat there is not much to it, it is basically to help fix bugs and that is it really, we will obviously report back on this later to verify it.

Apple has been working so hard to help us with our lagging iPhone’s and in some cases freezing, there last update was not so good which makes sense to have a bug fix update.

Some owners apparently had to send their iPhone’s back to Apple Stores to be replaced because of problems, my iPhone personally had lagging problems in where I press a character in the text message area and it lagged very bad, other times I open a program I installed from the App Store and it would freeze my handset.

The new iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update is nearly 250MB; apparently once you have installed this new update you will notice the difference. We will keep you posted on this.

Please let us know how you got on with the new update, has new iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update fixed bugs?

UPDATE: Just installed the latest iPhone 2.0.1 firmware update and must say it is brilliant (SO FAR), no lagging, no freezing etc.

I updated the firmware last night and all seemed to go ok.
This morning, I turned Airplane mode on but when I turned it off again, I found my email wasn’t working (I have 3 accounts – POP3, googlemail and mobileme) – both sending and receiving.
Reset the network settings and this sorted it out. But the same has just happened, tho I’ve not done anything with Airplane mode.

I haven’t had any problems with it up until now, so I think it must be to do with the new firmware.
