Interzone air quality sensor for mobile phones

Under: Accessories, News, Nokia
Date: August 14th, 2008

Interzone is a sensor, presently in prototype form that could be added to a mobile phone and thus give the mobile phone user the ability to monitor surrounding air quality.

So why would you need an air quality sensor on your mobile phone? Well possibly for hay fever sufferers perhaps or maybe asthmatics. Who knows, maybe you would just like to stay in clean non-polluted air either way with Interzone you would at least have the ability to monitor the air you breathe.

What ever the reason the developer had it’s seemingly based upon work done by the Nokia Research Centre, so maybe, just maybe this Interzone air quality sensor may show up incorporated into a Nokia mobile phone sometime in the distant future.

The designer of Interzone is Alistair Bramley is based in New York and specialises in Industrial design.
