Under: News, Other Mobile Phones
Date: August 17th, 2008

A new mobile phone, the P960, has been launched by Lenovo Mobile, which incorporates Atrua Technologies made-for-mobile fingerprint solution.

Atrua Technologies made-for-mobile fingerprint solution is used to protect sensitive data like VIP recordings, call history, address book info, and text messages.

CEO of Atrua, Anthony Gioeli, says: “We are pleased to see a recognized leader in fingerprint for laptops adopt our technology for their mobile phone and we are delighted to have the opportunity to support such a leading global manufacturer in their ongoing effort to bring greater levels of security and convenience to users of mobile devices.”

Spec wise the Lenovo P960 mobile phone offers up dual-band GSM/GPRS radio, 2.8 inch touch-screen with stylus, 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot, and of course that Atrua Technologies made-for-mobile fingerprint solution.

Unfortunately the real deal breaker with the Lenovo P960 is probably going to be the lack og 3G and WiFi, No word on price or availability as yet though.
