Add Mark Chubb (Phones Review CEO) to your Circles on Google+Russia’s third largest mobile phone carrier MegaFon has signed a deal with Apple to distribute the Apple iPhone 3G. Talks with MTS and Apple have been going on for a while, and MegaFon seems to have shot in and struck their own deal.
A spokesperson for MegaFon, presumably without the shadow of KGB men standing over them announced “The sales of iPhone in Russia will start this year.”
One wonders if Apple will supply the iPhone 3G in red for our Russian friends. Still another country added to the Apple iPhone 3G list.
