Google Chrome to integrate into Google Android

Under: News, Phone Software Date: September 5th, 2008

Based on Apple’s open source rendering engine Webkit, Google’s latest project is a web browser called Chrome. Designed to put the user experience in line with advanced features, it looks as if Google’s Chrome is ready to set ablaze the web browser stage.

According to Sergey Brin: “Probably a subsequent version of Android is going to pick up a lot of the Chrome stack… My guess is we’ll have ‘Chrome-like’ or something similar.”

With the eventual integration of Google Chrome into Google Android it could result in truly portable cross platform applications.

Apps using Google’s App Engine could well be ported to both mobile and desktop versions of Google Chrome, thus developers will be able to see their apps running quite smoothly on both mobile and desktop fronts.
