We told you earlier about the brand new Apple iPhone 2.1 firmware update which was going to be announced at the Apple Event, well now we have some better news about this update and what it will have.
The new iPhone 2.1 firmware update will be available for download on Friday, September 12 2008. This new update will be a much better one than the 2.0 which most of us were hoping for.
The new iPhone 2.1 firmware update Friday will fix many bugs that we have all been experiencing and will reduce the amount of dropped calls which many of you iPhone users have had with the 2.0 software, other things the new update will bring include faster backups to iTunes, improved battery life, less crashes and much better performance enhancements has been made also.

Grr.. still nothing on the GPS.. Hey Google the lake I currently live on in Michigan isn’t even recognizable on your out of date Google Maps, which coincidentally also show the location of my house like 5 blocks from the actual location.. very disappointing GPS
