

Chante Wright was going to testify against a criminal when she was gunned down in Philadelphia, and police believe it was a hit organised from inside prison by an inmate with access to a mobile phone.
In order to prevent similar crimes happening, authorities’ across the US are following Maryland corrections officials’ example and using sniffer dogs trained to sniff out mobile phones.
Maj. Pete Anderson, commander of a canine unit that sniffs out cell phones inside Maryland prisons says, “We owe it to the victims to not allow inmates to continue to run their enterprises from behind our bars.”
