Opera Software and NVIDIA Corporation have joined to bring full desktop web browsing which includes JavaScript, video content, and accelerated vector graphics to smartphones and internet devices.

NVIDIA is to offer an optimised Opera 9.5 browser in a pre-integrated suite, third party and in house software for NVIDIA Tegra of computer on chip Windows CE and Windows Mobile solutions.

Tegra powered Opera 9.5 is to provide mobile users with a wide and full desktop style browsing experience along with hardware accelerated image, rich media, and in-page video playback.

Mobile devices incorporating the Opera browser which is powered by NVIDIA Tegra hardware is expected to become available some time in 2009.
