Canada’s Research In Motion, the makers of the BlackBerry mobile phones have plans to product the BlackBerry in India, however the size of this deal has not been clarified.
Co-chief executive of RIM, Jim Balsille, has said Research In Motion was developing a “Made in India” strategy, and went on to say: “We are looking at manufacturing and logistics in the country. I met some policymakers in Delhi regarding this yesterday (Wednesday).”
Balsille has also stated that Research In Motion is looking at developing cheaper mobile phones and services suited for markets like that of India.
