Nokia mobile phone recycling kiosks help go green

Under: Mobile Phones, News, Nokia Date: September 20th, 2008

In a bid to recycle mobile phones, Nokia has introduced automated kiosks across the central Klang Valley of Malaysia. A recent study made by Nokia showed that only 3 percent of respondents recycle their mobile phone.

Nokia Malaysia’s environmental coordinator, Nellie Abdullah, said: “We’ve been at the forefront of driving environmental initiatives in the mobile industry for over a decade, and Nokia Malaysia is the first to launch this automated recycling machine within Nokia globally.”

Nokia is hoping to improve these mobile phone recycling stats whit these specially constructed kiosks designed to ease the recycling process.
