According to a male-only study into how sperm may be affected by leaving you mobile phone on voice mode while carrying it in your front facing pants pocket and it appears that this is another danger zone.

This small study involved just 32 male volunteers and was conducted by the Cleveland Clinic who came up with the results that carrying a mobile handset left on talk mode in your front pants pocket could “potentially damage sperm quality in the testes.”

Director of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, Ashok Agarwal, who headed the research team, says: “We believe that these devices are used because we consider them very safe, but it could cause harmful effects due to the proximity of the phones and the exposure that they are causing to the gonads.”
