Phorm web tracking on BT Broadband is in its final trial stage, thousands of BT broadband customers internet usage will be tracked enabling the web tracking service so they can be sent targeted online advertising branded WebWise.
The Phorm web tracking service will be available network-wide when it is launched, however, BIT customers will be invited from tomorrow to use the service.
The online targeting service allows for the user to receive relevant advertising taking into account all the web pages they visit allowing for target advertising, the Phorm service has been surrounded by controversy due to the invasion of privacy.BT customers can decline the trial of WebWise.
