On Wednesday at Tempe attorney was accused of smuggling a cell phone, a cell phone charger and heroin in Maricopa County’s Fourth Avenue Jail in downtown Phoenix. The attorney named Jason John Keller was charged with three counts of assisting a criminal street gang, three counts of promoting prison contraband, and one count of conspiracy.
The accused attorney on three separate occasions smuggled the cell phone, charger and heroin into the jail according to court documents, the smuggled good went to a well known street gang called the Mexican Mafia as well as other jail mates and it’s been alleged that one is Keller’s clients.
A preliminary hearing will be held in ten days, Phoenix Police department investigated the case.
