Apple iPhone users will see two new applications next year, the popular Friends Reunited and a spin off to it a dating service site. Both sites will be launched by ITV on the Apple iPhone.
Research by ITV showed that 67 percent of iPhone users are men according to Melissa Goodwin, controller of mobile for ITV; she added that the application would focus on services that include sports and things like the latest football scores.
ITV’s Goodwin also added that “It’s about choice and convenience for the consumer,” and that they are trying all sorts of touch points for the iPhone such as simulcasts, wallpapers and video. The broadcaster’s strategy is to try all different formats and learn what works best for the content and brand.
