T-Mobile sells out of G1 handsets via pre-order

Under: Google Android, Mobile Phones, News Date: October 3rd, 2008

Roughly a week ago T-Mobile premiered the new Google Android OS G1 mobile phone, and as reported and most are already aware will not be available for a few weeks; however, prospective buyers could pre-order on the T-Mobile website.

Well Gphone wannabees, the Gphone has now sold out!

Obviously T-Mobile would have set aside the required number of the G1 handsets to be sold directly from in-store, and it has been said that T-Mobile expects to shift up to ½ million G1 handsets this quarter. Although the maker of the G1, HTC has an order from T-Mobile for 1.5 million to 2 million handsets.
