BlackBerry Bold still delayed and undergoing test says RIM co-CEO

There is a delay on Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Bold, and Research In Motion’s co-CEO implies the reason for the delay is that the Blackberry Bold is still be tested to make sure that the Bold doesn’t experience the same 3G connectivity issues the Apple iPhone 3G experienced.

RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis, said: “There’s great scrutiny, as you might know, on that network and a certain device. So I guess everyone wants to be sure on every last test.”

Personally, I think Research In Motion has got it right with this, why push out a mobile handset that has certain issues. We can all remember the many complaints about the Apple iPhone 3G, and making sure the same problems don’t happen on the Bold is probably the right move.

Do you agree, or do you think a new mobile should be released no matter what issues it may face?
