Well, the word is that HTC have for some reason decided that the USA will never see the HTC Touch HD mobile phone, and apparently that’s official.

The whisper is the word on this was dropped via a Tweet, and apparently this knowledge has caused some stirrings within non other than the penthouse offices.

After the original Tweet, there apparently followed another which expressed their desire for the HTC Touch HD and that “US management now knows there’s a grassroots demand for high-end HTCs here.”

However there has been a further update to this situation in that HTC have said officially that they are overwhelmed by the “strong” demand for the Touch HD in America and other markets.

Apparently it is too late to launch in the States now so next time round maybe the HTC Touch HD will be crossing the waters.
