Microsoft Windows Zune Phone Update: Coming 2009

Under: News, Phone Software Date: October 8th, 2008

Can you remember the Microsoft CEO saying that they will never make their own mobile phone; well it looks like it is all happening in the form of the Microsoft Windows Zune.

First up is Apple iPhone with Mac OS, then there is the T-Mobile G1 with Google’s Android OS and now it seems that Microsoft wish to follow suit. There are hot rumours flying around according to pocket-lint that Microsoft are going to bring us in 2009 sometime the all new Zune audio hi-tech phones running on Windows.

It is also said that they are planning on combining its Zune software on other devices, the audio software could be part of the Windows Mobile 7 OS in the second half of 2009.

They have been fuelled by comments made by Steve Ballmer to CIO magazine that Microsoft is ultimately planning on migrating its Zune software to other platforms. So could this mean we will see the software in giants like HTC, Sony Ericsson, and BlackBerry etc having this brand new software?
