Under: BlackBerry, News Date: October 8th, 2008

New developer tools for apps for BlackBerry’s Storm, Bold, and Pearl Flip have been announced by BlackBerry maker Research In Motion. These developer tools will include new versions of the BlackBerry Java Development Environment.

Research In Motion tech enables 3rd party developers to enhance the BlackBerry products and services with wireless connectivity to data, and these new developer tools are important for enterprise and industry alike.

The developer tools are a free download bringing a new application programming interface with BlackBerry JDE v4.7 which allows developers to take advantage of the BlackBerry Storm’s new features. Other than new APIs, developers can use the new features for the development of browser based mobile apps for improving web page rendering and download files.
