The Sony Ericsson C905 CyberShot mobile phone is to come preloaded with Mobile Commerce’s “NearMe” application and is also available to download onto the GPS enabled Sony Ericsson C702 and Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman.

The NearMe application is a local search service that brings the owner detained information regarding local area business, venues, events, and amenities and is provided free of charge by Sony Ericsson.

With the NearMe app the user gains United Kingdom wide content on such topics as over 11,000 recommended venues for eating and drinking; club and gig listings; over 1.9 million business search listings; cinema, and fully optimised Multimap mapping.
