The AT&T Pantech Duo has finally received a much needed Windows Mobile 6.1 update, but it does come as somewhat of a surprise as usually it a mobile handset is due to be replaced it doesn’t usually receive a new update.

Not that owners of the Pantech Duo on AT&T will complain of course. But it is a lesson learned as with the Palm Treo 750 that promised a Windows Mobile 6.1 update isn’t anywhere in sight.

Anyway, back to the Pantech Duo, the new Windows Mobile 6.1 update is available via a quick 90 megabyte download, and as usual please make sure you back-up all your information before progressing.
