Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a and X1i: What is the difference?

Under: News, Sony Ericsson Date: October 9th, 2008

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a and Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i, yes there are two but just how do they differ from each other? Well essentially they are both for different markets with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a being sold in the US, Latin America and Australia.

The X1a differs from the X1i in its network configuration along with its video support being 24 frames per second as opposed to 30 frames per second, and bucking the rumours, both the X1a and X1i incorporate front facing cameras.

Some have noted that the Sony Ericsson X1 site shows two keyboard layouts, the reason for this is location difference such as the United Kingdom uses a QWERTY keyboard whereas Germany uses a QWERTZ, and France uses an AERTY, all to do with language obviously.
