Penang Consumers Association warn government on mobile phone cancer

The Penang Consumers Association has appealed to the Penang government in a bid to get them to recognise the potential threats of young children using mobile phones.

The Consumers Association has urged the government to issue a warning to the parents of children under the age of 12 to stop using mobile phones, and they also want the government to run public awareness campaigns warning of the potential dangers of radiation exposure.

S.M. Mohamed Idris, president of the Consumers Association of Penang claims new research form Sweden finds youngsters are 5 times more likely to develop brain cancer if they use a mobile phone.
