Is HTC Touch HD destined to be T-Mobile Android G2?

There is a whisper roaming the net waves that the HTC Touch HD is being modelled to become the next Google Android mobile handset for T-Mobile.

Apparently the word is they are even referring to this as the G2; however there is no tangible conformation coming from anyone that this rumours is true.

One would have though the best way to play the game with the new Google Android would be to wait and see just how well the T-Mobile actually does once the general public has had it in their hands for a while. Also one is reminded of HTC’s official Twitter that the Touch HD wasn’t going stateside.
