AT&T cheaper alternatives for wireless

AT&T have announced today the former president of National Distribution for AT&T Glenn Lurie will lead AT&Ts initiatives introducing wireless capabilities beyond the traditional handset into a selection of emerging wireless devices, including cameras, navigation systems, in-car entertainment, mini computers.

3G wireless will be the network used for the connectivity of these devices and they will be built on the world standard in wireless the GSM family of technologies.

AT&T’s wireless network brings huge scope for electronic manufacturers who are keen to use cheaper and easier alternatives for using wireless technology in specialty devices.
