Would you believe that the first rumours on a Googlephone first hit the net wave’s way back in 2006. Well it’s certainly been a long and sometimes exciting ride to actually see the Google Android, the Open Handset Alliance, and finally the T-Mobile G1 come to reality.
We should remember that it is not an everyday occurrence that a company with the stature of Google gets into the mobile arena to play against the big boys of the mobile world. Probably the only other time there was so much coverage dedicated to one mobile handset would be the Apple iPhone’s first appearance.
