Nokia has announced their latest addition for the global CDMA markets, the Nokia 2228 mobile phone. The Nokia 2228 is a slim 12mm ultra lightweight mobile handset with a unique lanyard hole that incorporates an LED indicator light which flashes on incoming calls.

The Nokia 2228 features a 1.3 megapixel camera, built in Nokia media player which supports most common formats, speaker dependent voice recognition, modem, and integrated hands-free speaker.

The Nokia 2228’s LED indicator “pulses” in cycles at user defined intervals or while in the off mode and thus always allows the Nokia 2228 user to see if any messages are waiting for them. The Nokia 2228 is expected to launch in selected CDMA markets sometime in Q4 08.
