The BlackBerry 8900 Javelin, the down range brother of the BlackBerry Bold still actually incorporated quite a few of the BlackBerry Bold’s features and design cues, but comes at an easier price on your wallet.

Although Research In Motion’s BlackBerry 8900 Javelin does make a few sacrifices in the name of penny saving, but does make up for it in other ways. The Javelin loses the 3G connectivity, and is replaced by GSM and EDGE.

However, the BlackBerry Javelin does offer a 3.2 megapixel camera and 480 x 360 pixel display rather than the BlackBerry Bold’s 480 x 320 pixel display and 2 megapixel camera, which does make the BlackBerry 8900 Javelin a serious contender to be considered.
