iPhone 3G, BlackBerry Storm and T-Mobile G1 Price Cuts
Looks like the consumers is about to get some good deals for a change with the possibility of a pricing war being whispered. Needham Research analyst Charlie Wolf is saying Apple can afford to drop the price of the Apple iPhone 3G to just $99.00 if necessary.
If Apple were to drop the price of the Apple iPhone 3G, the high price structure of RIM and their BlackBerry Bold at $299.99 and their new BlackBerry Storm, the lowering of the Apple iPhone 3G’s price would hurt them some.
As for the latest smartphone out there, the Google Android T-Mobile G1, well if rumour is correct, they have no qualms whatsoever in dropping the price down to $148.88 for such big names as Wal-Mart.

Verizon crippled another phone, the blackberry storm doesn’t even have Wifi….LoL
The Storm doesn’t need WiFi with Verizon’s network. Excellent coverage and faster speed make WiFi pointless.
ps. and Verizon probably had nothing to do with the fact that the phone doesn’t have WiFi, since RIM built the phone (eventually for everyone’s network).
Besides which wifi takes way to much battery life.But with ATT network they need wifi becuase coverage not very good.
Actually the Storm is build for VZW and Vodafone. They are planning a GSM version to run on AT&T that should have Wi-Fi.
Terry, you have no clue as to what you are talking about and are the reason for rumors! They are NOT planing a phone for AT&T, and the phone that Vodafone is getting is GSM and has Wi-Fi. Vodafone gets the 9500 model and Verizon gets the 9530 Model. Please get the facts straight.
You don’t have to believe me as it is a rumor. The Vodafone is GSM and will work on AT&T but not on 3G and only on Edge.

There is no wi-fi listed. The one for AT&T is suppose to have wi-fi when it comes out. Nobody knows how long VZW has exclusive rights to the Storm. Take the Bold for example AT&T only has exclusive rights for 3-6 months then it is coming to VZW and Sprint.
