T-Mobile fails to auto-port 3G to G1 customers

Under: Google Android, News Date: November 2nd, 2008

It order to publicise the 3G network, T-Mobile has offered all its loyal customers who were supposed to sign up for the new Google Android T-Mobile G1 with a data plan, a free 3G network data trial.

This 3G network trial will hopefully give G1 customers a first hand experience of T-Mobile’s new 3G network, and T-Mobile hopes than once the trial expires the customer will sign up for unlimited 3G data.

The problem is with this trial almost over, many G1-ers are complaining about the loss of their 3G connection, as T-Mobile where supposed to auto-enrol subscribers to unlimited 3G data once the trial ran out.

Unfortunately some T-Mobile G1 users are reporting that T-Mobile actually failed to port them to a 3G plan and thus said T-Mobile G1-ers woke up to find they had no data service. For anyone still without a 3G data plan, a quick call to T-Mobile will more than likely sort things out.
