Video: Apple iPhone 3G with physical QWERTY?

Under: Apple iPhone, News Date: November 6th, 2008

The one thing some say the Apple iPhone 3G lacks is a physical keyboard, and some just can’t get on with the virtual keyboard, well if so then you’ll probably like the news as it will give you hope for a physical keyboard for your Apple iPhone.

Some clever enterprising spark appears to be running a slab of Ruby code on their jailbroken Apple iPhone 3G, and this code allows the Apple iPhone 3G to recognise what looks to be a Palm or Visor external keyboard which is connected via a custom cable.

So, does this mean the Apple iPhone 3G can now be linked to a physical keyboard? Maybe, but probably not going to be a widespread option, so I’d say stick with the virtual, or go for a full QWERTY handset.
