Gameloft has said they now have an exclusive multi-year, multi-product licensing agreement with superhero giant Marvel Entertainment, and under said agreement that starts in 09, Gameloft is to bring to mobile phones mobile games of the legendary comic book superhero Spiderman.
Gameloft’s Michel Guillemot says: “We are excited to partner with them (Marvel) and bring a new vision of creativity and excitement to the mobile platform through one of the strongest development and distribution networks in the industry.”
Spiderman will be the first Marvel Comics based mobile game to be released by Gameloft in 09 and will take in all major carrier devices. Furthermore, Gameloft will also produce a mobile game based on Iron Man 2, the sequel to the Iron Man movie, with its launch planned to coincide with the movie’s release in 2010.
