Gaming popular on smartphones: iPhone beats BlackBerry on Satisfaction

It seems that more and more smartphone users are downloading mobile games on their devices and the Apple iPhone Apps Store is a major success for the Apple iPhone.

But we all know that there are more and more smartphones coming onto the market and of course the ones we have already, a brand new survey was carried out by from J.D. Power and Associates, the Business Wireless Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study which was released last week seems to give you a pretty good idea how popular smartphones are, the survey was carried out with nearly 1,400 business users with smartphones.

The survey revealed that 34 percent of these users downloaded third-party apps for their handsets and a bigger 49 per cent of users downloaded games; you must remember this survey was carried out asking business users (Tut-tut you should be working not playing games on your smartphones).

Anyway, 45 per cent of smartphone users wanted their devices for the internet whereas 41 per cent wanted them for emailing, 39 per cent chose their smartphones for the design and 37 percent wanted them for the QWERTY keyboard or Bluetooth capabilities.

It goes as no surprise to us that the Apple iPhone topped the highest rating for customer satisfaction, the iPhone scored a cool 778 out of 1,000, RIM BlackBerry scored 703, Samsung got 701 out of a 1000.
