Verizon RIM BlackBerry Storm Price more expensive than iPhone

The BlackBerry Storm is one of the most ultimate smartphones that is being talked about so much online and of course we have mentioned it many times, well it seems that the RIM BlackBerry Storm on Verizon will be more expensive than the Apple iPhone.

The BlackBerry Storm from Verizon Wireless could end up more expensive that the iPhone when you add everything up, reports are showing that the Storm could possibly find it hard to connect with the bigger mass market where the iPhone succeeded.

Why? Well it now appears that the BlackBerry Storm from RIM will have a huge price tag of $549 without a contract, and with a contract could see a price tag of a whopping $350.

Now if this is the case and reports are true we say the Apple iPhone who are the rivals need not worry because there Apple iPhone price tag is only $199 which is sold through AT&T with a two-year contract.

Will this have a bad impact on the BlackBerry Storm sales is something we will have to wait and see. If Verizon Wireless could clear this up with us would be great, Verizon has yet to confirm details on this and we are waiting for a response.

ok this is a rediculas article MSRP doesnt dictate street prices. THis crap is all over the internet how its going to cost this or its going to cost that. or he sites saying the storm is going to be $549 and its way more expensive than the iphone at $199 i supose i need to remind people that the iphone is $199 if you get a 2 year contract and at&t is eating up a large chunk of the bill there. will the storm be priced at $199 i dont know. will it be $549 yeah probably msrp will be. However what i find interesting is all of the articles thrashing blackberry for being so expensive without really knowing what it will cost….maybe i should point out that the storm IS free over for those lucky europeans that have vodafone…but your right this is so expensive compared to the iphone..who can afford free.

on a side note here yes i am looking forward to betting to the store and playing with this device. i do think it looks like it could end up being a great phone. but i personally wont buy one until i get my hands on it and check it out first hand how that touch screen works. it sounds like a love it or hate it device. So no not a fan boy just getting sick of all the damn articles out there jumping to conclusions and not thinking it thru….its just rediculas.

I am getting extremely frustrated with people publishing the wrong data. The phone is $499USD without a contract. It will probably be subsidized as much as the iPhone is and released at or around $199USD

People are just making wild assumptions based on the retail price and the usual Verizon MIR (Mail in Rebate). They are not taking to mind the subsidizing of the phone before the mail in rebate is even put into effect. They are getting the ARV of the phone from the Verizon New York BB Storm Hunt which lists the phone and a $50USD gift card having a ARV of $549USD.

I’m actually wondering how an article with such poor use of language was one of the first google news results. Honestly take a few community college classes or find a different profession.
