Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, while speaking during an investor briefing for Austrialia’s Telstra, let slip a big hint for smartphone fans that Windows Mobile 6.5 is in fact real and is on its way soon.
Ballmer was doing his usual straight talking and said: “With releases we’ll make this year - releases we’ll make with 6.5 next year, Windows Mobile 7, I think we have a pretty interesting roadmap.”
There have been whispers running the net about Windows Mobile 6.5 for quite a white, especially after Motorola boss San Jha mentioned Windows Mobile 6.5 during Motorola’s earnings call last week.
